BE STEADFAST

MEMORY VERSE: - 1 Corinthians 15:58 - "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

We are living in troubled and turbulent times. Challenges are consistently stirring before our faces and it makes us sometimes want to give up. But then again, we see the Lord admonishing us to be steadfast. Which is, be unmovable, remain firm in faith, be Stable in your believe no matter what's before you. 

The scripture in Exodus 14:13 says, "Then Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid! Take your stand [be firm and confident and undismayed] and see the salvation of the LORD which He will accomplish for you today...." (Amplified Bible).

To be dismayed is to be discouraged and distressed. It is to feel defeated. While to be undismayed is to not be discouraged and not to be distressed. It is to not feel any fear, worry, or sadness about any unpleasant circumstances.

Why should we be undismayed? Because our heavenly Father is in control and He will not abandon us. Listen, we are never alone, the Father and His Son Jesus Christ are ever with us through the Holy Spirit. So be unmovable, remain steadfast in faith while you rest on His Word. He never fails, He is trustworthy and faithful to the end.

Now Paul advices that while we remain steadfast, we should be committed to the work of the Lord. A lot of people give excuses that they can't do the work of the Lord because of the situations they are in. When we give excuses with such things, we are allowing the devil to keep us exactly where he wants us to be. 

We are to keep working no matter what is around us. Certainly our services in the work of the Lord is not unnoticed and will not be in vain. The Lord is seeing all you and I are doing and he will come with rewards soon.


PRAYER

Thank you Father for always being present with me. This day I declare that I will be steadfast in my faith and trust in you, help me Lord to achieve this in Jesus name, Amen.
