FROM BITTERNESS TO SWEETNESS
MEMORY VERSE: - Exodus 15:23 - “When they came to the oasis of Marah, the water was too bitter to drink. So they called the place Marah (which means "bitter").
Sometimes in our journey of life, we find ourselves in the point of ‘MARAH' – a place of bitterness, a time where things are not pleasant, where things are not what we desire or anticipate, where things are not working. A place characterized by challenges and difficulties that defy all human solutions.
The Israelites having journeyed for days without water in the wilderness were exhausted. Suddenly, they could see water before them, at last, there was hope. On sight of the river, after three days of thirst, they had a kind of relief or so they thought.
But something wasn't right about that which they found; thus, their joy quickly turned sour, as they discovered that the water was not what they expected, it was bitter water. As a result, their joy turned to sorrow, their soul became pained and grieved.
They all complained and murmured, wherefore, Verse 24 of that chapter 15 says, "And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?" Oh how frustrating and disappointing it must have been for them at that moment.
However, In the midst of their pains, confusions, and bitterness, Moses cried out to the Lord, and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: (Vs. 25). God stepped into their situation and did what he knows how to do best. "MIRACLE" "TRANSFORMATION" And He turned bitterness to sweetness....
Are you in such a State where things are not working the way you anticipate it to be and now sorrow has filled your heart? Child of God, don't stay there mourning, take up the challenge and go to God for divine intervention. For God has all that it takes to turn things around for you, and He will turn every bitterness to sweetness in your life.
PRAYER
Oh God of transformation I thank you. And according to your power at work in me, I speak to every ugly situations in my life promoting bitterness to cease and I command every bitterness to be turned to sweetness now in Jesus name, Amen.
