 REFUGE AND FORTRESS

MEMORY VERSE: - Psalm 91:2 - “I will say to the LORD: My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.”

A refuge is a state of safety, protection or shelter while fortress is a fortified place. The psalmist boldly declared that the Lord Jahovah was his refuge and fortress because he trusted in Him and thus had experienced His awesome power of protection.

God is a refuge and fortress to anyone who have relationship with Him. He is their safe place, their retreat, the place they go when they are faced with challenges and fear. And there is a lot of fear going on in the world today but God is our shelter, strength and fortified place.

Those who take refuge in man or created things are oftentimes disappointed; but we are assured that those who make the Lord their refuge and fortress are never disappointed.

God is our shelter, our guard, our protector. He is the only one that could provide the protection that we need. David in Psalm 118:8-9 says, “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.”

We all need to be protected against the storms of life by a stronger and higher power thus we need to make the Lord our refuge and fortress. No matter the situation that you may be in, trust God, let Him be you refuge and fortress, let Him protect and deliver you.


 PRAYER

Father in you I trust and run to as my refuge and fortress, keep me from all evil in Jesus name, Amen..

KEEP YOUR PRAYER FLAME BURNING MEMORY VERSE: - Leviticus 6:12 - "The fire on the altar is to be kept burning; it must not go out....." If there's anything the devil does not want you to do; it is to pray and if there's anything he wants you to do its to not pray. He will do anything to distract you from praying because he knows what prayer power is for you and what it does to him. Prayer is the power that turns things around in your favor, it causes a tremendous change in your circumstances, it makes the impossible to become possible in your life.
