YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS IN CHRIST

YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS IN CHRIST

MEMORY VERSE: - 2 Corinthians 5:21 - "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

It's a pity that many are in Christ but do not know who they are in Him and do not know what God has done for them through the sacrifice of Jesus. God made us righteous in Christ, He put in us His own righteousness that gives us the power to have right standing with Him. It is called imputed or added righteousness. It is a righteousness given to every individual in Christ as a free gift because of our union with Him.

As God's righteous children, He has given us the grace that will help us to live out this righteousness in us and if we want to enjoy all the beautiful packages that God has in store for us and if we want to be able to resist the devil we must continue in the path of this righteousness in us.

Listen, the believer who keeps to his or her righteousness gladdens the heart of God and nothing good is withheld from such a person. The scripture says, "The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; (Zephaniah 3:17). In righteousness is power. It empowers us to withstand the enemy without fear or timidity.

The truth is that whenever we are living in error we give room for the enemy to have something on us, and in such case you cannot exercise authority over him because he has a hold on you. But when you are living out God's righteousness in you, the enemy has no openings to come in. Jesus in John 14:30 Said, "The prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me".

Furthermore, righteousness gives us the ability and boldness to confront and conquer the enemy. It is both a weapon that fights against the enemy and a shield of protection. Wherefore, the scripture says, ".....We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense." (2 Corinthians 6:7).

Understand that the devil is afraid of the righteous believers and even more afraid of those who know their rights and authority in Christ and use it in righteousness.

PRAYER

Thank you father for giving me your righteousness, I pray that you help me to maintain and keep up steps with it, in Jesus name, Amen.
