CALLED TO INHERIT A BLESSING

CALLED TO INHERIT A BLESSING

MEMORY VERSE: - 1Peter 3:9 - "Not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing" (NASB)

God did not bring you and I out of the hold of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son for nothing, neither are we called for the purpose of suffering but for the purpose of inheriting a blessing.

Note the word "Purpose" in our text: which means "Reason for which something exist". Therefore Peter is letting us know that the reason for which we are called into the kingdom of Christ is to inherit a Blessing.

Truly we have been called into great inheritance because of the finished work of Christ on the cross. God's will is for you to be blessed and be a blessing to others. Before you can be a blessing, you must have been blessed beyond your needs, you are having abundance or more than enough.

When God called our father Abraham he said to him, "And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing" Genesis 12:2. This is the God we belong to, the one who blesses beyond limitations. We must enjoy God's manifold blessings in this world because all that is in it belongs to our father. Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:26 declared, "For the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof."

It's a pity that for some Christians, Christianity is all about suffering, trouble, pains and anguish. But I tell you if we continue to suffer what Christ had suffered, then his death is meaningless to us. We must take our place in what is rightfully ours and refuse to accept the lying of the enemy.

Remember He "was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)." And Paul in 2 Corinthians 8:9 says, "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich."

Therefore whatever your situation maybe today, refuse to accept it as the will of God, hold on to the word of God that is ever true and sure, then rise up and take up your inheritance.

PRAYER
Thank you Heavenly Father for bringing me into your inheritance blessings. I arise this day unto my inheritance blessings in Jesus name, Amen.
