 HABIT OF PRAYER


MEMORY VERSE: - Ephesians 6:18 - With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints

A lot of people pray only when they are faced with challenges. They don't see reasons why they should pray when things are going well with them. However, the scriptures instruct us to pray without ceasing.... (See 1 Thessalonians 5:17). That is, No relenting.... No wearing.... No fainting.... No giving up but to be consistent in prayers. 

Therefore, we must form prayer habit. Habit is defined as an automatic behavior acquired through repetition. It is something that a person does often in a regular and repeated way until it becomes a part of the person and hard to give up.

So to form a prayer habit is to regularly and repeatedly pray at all times until it becomes a part of you that you cannot do without. Therefore, learn to pray in all whether, at all times, when you feel like and when you don't feel like praying. In good times and in challenging times, you must be a man or woman who consistently have fellowship with the Holy Spirit in the place of prayer.

Understand that to have a prayer habit is to be in that place of unbroken fellowship with the Spirit of the Lord. It is that unbroken fellowship that keeps you under the shadow of the Almighty. It bonds you in one union with the father, Son and Holy Spirit.

It opens up your gifting. It puts you ahead of your contemporaries. It opens up the treasury of revelation and ideas that keeps you ahead of others. So, Keep your spirit active by forming a habit of prayer.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I repent of my none wrong attitude towards my prayer life. And this day I ask that you quicken my prayer life by your Spirit in Jesus’ name, Amen
