READY FOR MASTER'S USE
READY FOR MASTER'S USE
MEMORY VERSE: - 2 Timothy 2:19 - “Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity,”
Coming into the family of God changes everything about our attitude and the way we react to things, people, situations, and challenges that come our way. Remember that God's grace enables us to achieve beyond the ordinary and to live right. So, how do we walk with grace? We are to yield to him so that He will help us to “DEPART FROM INIQUITY” as our text says.
The truth is that due to the spirit of the age operating in these end times which makes many believers to be insensitive to spiritual things; iniquity is on the increase.
A lot of believers are in the church but have refused to let go of their old evil ways, rather they see grace as one who has come to help them achieve their evil scheme, this is absurd. How can we even think that God supports evil; why then did Jesus sacrifice His life for us?
We must know that what Jesus came to do was to deliver us from such a life of iniquity so that we can live pure unto God. Everyone who embraces Jesus is called to depart from iniquity and do good works. We must denounce evil and walk in the light of the word.
If we say we are in Him who is light then we must live as the children of light. It is a grave error for anyone to be in the light whilst holding on to darkness.
If you want to be a vessel in the hands of the Master, then, you must purge yourself from evil works, for “If a man therefore purge himself from these things, He shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and ready for the master's use, prepared unto good works” (2 Tim. 2:21).
To purge oneself is to let go of those things that do not edify, things that are corrupt, and things that are of questionable character. It is to cease from doing wickedness.
It is every individual responsibility to take a decision to submit to grace so that He may help them overcome the lust that lurks within and be ready for the Master's use. You cannot go far with God if you continue to compromise your faith and allow yourself to be defiled. Therefore, submit to grace and make yourself ready for the Master's use.
PRAYER
O’ Lord my God, I yield myself to you, through your grace help, I purge out those things that are corrupt and every junks from my life and from every iniquity in Jesus’ name, Amen
