THE GOD WHO DOES GREAT THINGS 2


MEMORY VERSE: - Job 5:8-9 - "I would seek unto God, And unto God would I commit my cause: Which doeth great things and unsearchable; Marvellous things without number:” 
  
In times of distress we must seek unto God for in Him is our help. The Psalmist in Psalm 46:1 said, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." If he is our helper, then, we must turn to Him for help when we are faced with challenges.

Furthermore, David was a man who also knew his God and in his challenges, he turned towards him, he knew that looking up to anything else would be a huge disaster for him, hence, he turned his eyes away from looking to the mountains to looking unto God. In Psalm 121:1-2 he said, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help. [2] My help cometh from the LORD, Which made heaven and earth."

In order word, he said, 'if I decided to look up to the hills will my help come from there? No, it will not. Therefore, I will focus my eyes on the Lord because my help comes from Him who is the creator of all things both in heaven and in the earth. David made a conscious choice to look to God for assistance rather than to other places or people.

It may be that David at a point in his life must have drifted or was tempted to look to the mountains (his achievements, his position, his possession, his armies of war etc) but then again, he realised himself and turned to his God for help. 

Look at Psalms 121:1-2 in TPT, "I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help. But then I realize that our true help and protection is only from the Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth." Child of God, your true help is from the Father of all life, He is the greatest and above all. 

He is a wonder working God, and he does things that are beyond human comprehension. And today, he is turning your story around, he is overturning that ugly situation, he is rolling away that reproach, he is removing that garment of shame and setting it ablaze. 

That witchcraft yoke that has bind you in life is being destroyed right now. That satanic burden put upon your life is being destroyed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER
Thank you most holy father for your grace and mercy. This day I turn to you to prevail over every ungodly circumstances in my life and family in Jesus name, Amen!
