THE CHOSEN VESSEL PT 6


MEMORY VERSE: - 2 Timothy 2:20-21 - "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work."

Now, our text made us to understand that not every vessel that is found in a great house is right and can be of use by the master of the house. Some vessels are useless as a result, they are valueless and unimportant. Whilst some are very useful thus, they are valuable and of uttermost importance. 

Therefore, there's room for growth and excellence..... It's not enough to be a chosen vessel but to become a vessel of honour, a vessel that God can be proud of, a vessel made ready for the master's use.

You must understand that things do not just happen, people make them happen. As a result, one must work hard, trusting and depending on the grace of God as a chosen vessel to become a vessel unto honour.

2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth." (NLT).

So, if you want to be a vessel unto honour you must be empty...... Empty of self, empty of ego and pride, empty of attitude and character that will be a resistance to where God is taking you and what God wants to do in your life.

PRAYER
Glorious God, I I am grateful for life; and I submit myself to your Holy Spirit that He may help me to become a vessel unto honour for your use in Jesus name, Amen!
