SEATED IN HEAVENLY PLACES 4

MEMORY VERSE - Ephesians 2:6 "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:"

The scripture in Philippians 3:20 made us to know that "we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives...." Now, understand that this is not referring to future, we are not going to become citizens of heaven when we die, but right now in this life we are citizens. Hence, Jesus clearly told us that we are not of this world even though we are physically situated here. (See John 17:14). 

In verse 11 He said, “And I am no more in the world, but these are in the world….” This is talking about our point of location, the place where one physically resides and functions. But the fact that you are in a location is not necessarily that you are from there, you can come from west but resides in the south. So, the matter on ground is not about our location but about our place of citizenship, our source of supply and our source of information which detects how we live in a location. 

A representative of a country in another country is an ambassador. He or she lives in the country of his or her assignment but is not from that location and thus does not take instruction from his location nor function like the people in that place of his or her assignment. 

As citizens of heaven, we do not function from this earthly realm but from the realm where we belong. You are Christ ambassador in this world but your country where you belong is heaven, therefore, you are to live according to your country. (See 2 Corinthians 5:20).

Therefore, for us to operate rightly in this world we need to program our minds on the heavenly sphere and execute the plans and purpose of God for us in it. "Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." Colossians 3:2 ESV.

PRAYER: 
Glorious God, I worship you today, thank you for positioning me in the right location to rule and execute your purpose in it and this day I declare that i am reigning over all things wherever I go in Jesus’ name, Amen

  AbayeLiz Daily Inspirational     DIVINE SUPPLY MEMORY VERSE: - Philippians 4 19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory" We all have needs that we want to be met, however many are missing out the true source of our supply, thus they do so many unspeakable, dubious things to get their needs met. According to Paul, the source of our needs supply is God through Jesus Christ. Does this mean we shouldn't work? Not at all, for it is written, "He who does not work should not eat" (2 Thessalonians 3:10). So, what is Paul teaching us in Philippians 4 19? Oftentimes, when one is going through challenging times, people look down on them, mock them, despise and reproach them.
