EXCEPT THE LORD BUILDS A HOUSE


MEMORY VERSE: - Psalm 127:1, “Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”

In the passage above, we can see the futility of self-reliance and the foolishness of self-sufficiency. It proves that no one can achieve anything meaningful and lasting by its own power. This brings to mind the scripture that says, “It is the Lord your God that gives you power to get wealth” Deuteronomy 8:18: Indeed our sufficiency is of God for it is Him that gives us the grace to achieve anything in life.

You may have great dreams, awesome visions and may set out of this goals to reaching them, however, you must understand that none can achieve anything outside God's power and grace. Except the Lord helps you in building that vision, goal or dreams; your efforts will be fruitless.

Understand that reverencing, depending and trusting on God in all we do is the ultimate thing in life. For when we trust wholly in God, it shows we recognize His SOVEREIGNTY over all the affairs of our life, and it proves our submission and loyalty to Him.

No matter the level of success you may have attained or you aspire to attain, without God being in it, it is meaningless because anything you do without reverence to the SOVEREIGNTY of God who is the chief builder is worthless, vain and vanity. For whatever you do must be done to the glory of God.

When we recognize the sovereignty of God as the chief builder, we are making Him our Lord and Master; and our portion in this life, just as the scripture says, “The Lord is my portion in the land of the living” (Psalm 142:5). Until the Lord becomes your portion, you are empty and all your accomplishment is vain. 

PRAYER
Lord I thank you for who you are. This day, I put my whole trust in you to help me in life. Help me in all that I do. Watch over me and all that concerns me, in Jesus name, Amen.

    God has chosen to reveal Himself, to have right climate for the person to discover , God on his own is the mission

Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately.
