GET KNOWLEDGE

MEMORY VERSE: - 2Timothy 2:15 - “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Knowledge is power. Knowledge gives you insight. Our memory verse admonished us to 'study'. What does it mean to study? It is to look at something closely in order to observe or read it. It is to devote one's time and attention to gaining knowledge of something especially by means of books or close relationship. 

Now, if you are representing an organization and you don't have a comprehensive knowledge of them, you will misrepresent them. Certainly, you can't represent well if you do not know in detail the organization or nation you are representing. Same way, you can't represent Christ well if you do not have a comprehensive knowledge of Him.

We are well informed that we are Christ ambassadors in 2 Corinthians 5:20.... As such, you must study who you are representing. Study His life, study His character and get to know His ways. Study to be a good embassador. Study to speak well of your Master and King. Study to have His mysteries revealed to you. Study to build a strong relationship with Him.

The scripture says, "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." John 17:3. You see, as God's children, the knowledge of our father and that of His son Jesus Christ is something we must crave after, seek to know, search the scriptures precept upon precept, line upon line.

 Some Christians do not have time to read the bible, how much more to study it. For some, it is burdensome. And such are the ones that are easy prey for the devil. They are the victims of false pastors who use them for merchandise. Don't be too busy for God, your time is in your hands, make proper use of it.


PRAYER

This day o Lord, I repent for my laziness to study your word, my soul begin to hunger and test after the knowledge of Christ. and I ask that you give me an understanding heart as I begin to study in Jesus’ name, Amen

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
