WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

MEMORY VERSE: - Galatians 5:26 - "Walk by the spirit and you shall not fulfil the works of the flesh."

The heavenly Father has given us of His Holy Spirit help us through life journey. But most of us are not walking by Him thus He is not influencing all we do. Walking by the spirit is living a life that is influenced by the Spirit. It is living your life in the continual guidance of the Spirit of God.

So, there shouldn't be a moment when we are left on our own. We are to build our relationship with the Holy Spirit and be daily guided by Him. If we are overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit we will not have room for any other forces to manipulate.

The scripture says, "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." That is to say, Since we are living by the Spirit, we are to follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. The reference "Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" it's summoned up in the Holy Spirit.... The power of God's might is in the person of the Holy Spirit. Our strength is drawn from the power of the Holy Spirit.

Fellowship in and with the Holy Spirit is important to our walking by the Spirit. If the believer relapses for one second from walking by the Spirit, then they are an easy target for the enemy, the wicked one will find ground to function there.

The spirit is in the believer permanently unlike in the old covenant where it visits them. He dwells permanently as longs as you do not act in a way that grieves him, because our actions determine whether he stays permanently or goes away. But God's intention is for him to dwell permanently not visits.

A walk by the spirit is a constant, unbroken moment by moment walking in step with the spirit, being led, being influenced by him. They shouldn't be any time a child of God is not walking by means of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER

Thank you Holy Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit. I pray that your Spirit guide me in every areas of my life in Jesus name, Amen.
