REST IN CHRIST 1

MEMORY VERSE: - Hebrews 4:10 - "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."

God wants us to come to the place of rest in Christ, He wants us to live daily in a struggle free life. A place where we stop doing things with our human senses and allow His Holy Spirit to guide us and help us.

When we are talking about rest, we are not talking about physical rest as in relaxing, sleeping or going on holidays. We also not saying one shouldn't work or do something in life. We do not encourage laziness, in fact , the scripture is against laziness and it encourages that all should work in order to eat (See 1 Thess. 4:11).

So the rest we are talking about is that of putting our complete trust in God, believing and depending on Him to help us succeed in our work and achieve in life. It is a rest that brings an end to struggles of life, it is that rest which causes one to work with ease, and to function in grace and favour. 

Certainly, one will achieve more, faster and better when they are being helped by God. Wherefore our text says, "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works" O' yes, rest in Christ silences every stress, confusions, unproductivities and all struggles.

In the place of rest you do not just do things but are guided by the Holy Spirit, thus the scripture says, "And the Lord said, My Presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest". Hear me, you can't miss it in life when the spirit leads.


PRAYER

Thank you Lord for the opportunity to trust in you. This day I make a turn around from trying to do it all by my self without you in it and I ask that you come and have your way in all I do in Jesus name, Amen!
