BE SENSITIVE TO GOD'S VOICE

BE SENSITIVE TO GOD'S VOICE

MEMORY VERSE: - John 10:27 - "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:"

How awesome it would be for every sheep of Christ the great shepherd, (which connotes to all believers), to hear, recognise Christ's voice and follow His leading. The world will not be able to catch up with our success if we do. certainly, we can't miss it in life if we hear, know and follow.

But unfortunately, many do not hear nor know His voice, hence they are not able to follow His leading. And until the believers come to this place of hearing, recognising and submitting to His leading, they cannot rule and reign in life.

We live in a world full of noise. Noise of troubles, noise of struggling to meet up with life demands, noise of family needs, noise of health challenges, noise of financial needs and more. And the voice of these needs crowd us on daily basis, thus, many are not able to hear the voice of the Master, our great Shepherd, 'Jesus Christ' who speaks to us through the Holy Spirit.

Certainly, every sheep ought to hear, recognise and be led by the voice of the Master. For this reason, one ought to learn or train himself or herself to listen to His voice in their spirit. He speaks on a daily basis, and at all times but you do not hear because you are allowing the world's pressure to have the upper hand in your life.

Regarding the widow of Zarephath, the Lord sent His servant Elijah to her and said, "Now go to the town of Zarephath, near Sidon, and stay there. I have commanded a widow who lives there to feed you.” (1 Kings 17:9). Noticed, the Lord said He has already commanded, (instructed, directed, ordered or told) her to feed Elijah.

But when the man of God met with the widow, things looked different from what the Lord told him, the woman seemed not to have any idea of what the man of God was talking about. First Elijah told her to get him water to drink a the woman did not hesitate to do that but when the man of God went farther to make demand of the proper reason for his coming the woman complained. You need to be sensitive to the voice of the Lord.

PRAYER
Holy Father, I am grateful for your grace that teaches me your Word, thank you for guiding me with your voice through the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, Amen.
