JESUS SACRIFICE WAS TO GOD


MEMORY VERSE: - Ephesians 5:2 - "And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour."

Most people believe that Jesus sacrifice was a payment to Satan to free us from his captivity. But to whom was Jesus sacrifice offered? Did he offer it to Satan to make a payment to him so that he could free us from his captivity? Or did he offer his sacrifice to God to free us from our penalty? 

Contrary to what many believed, Jesus did not give himself up as Sacrifice to pay the devil for anything rather he sacrificed himself to God the father. Through that sacrifice he brought us back to God the father.

There was never a time that the sacrifice of Jesus death on the cross was made to pay for the price of our sin to the devil but to God alone. Sin separated us from the father but Christ made peace with the father through his sacrifice on the cross thus, he reconciled us back to God.

We are brought back into the very presence of the Father now we are with the father. Wherefore, Ephesians 2:13 says, "We are brought us back into the very presence of the Father" so, now we are with the father..... Understand that we are not about to come to the father in Christ but are with him. Certainly, if any person is in Christ he or she is with the father"

Because of the sacrifice of Jesus, we are justified, the scripture says, "......even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ..." (See Galatians 2:16-17)

His blood cleans us from all sins..... it makes us pure, righteous, holy before our God. The scripture says, “If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

PRAYER
Thank you Jesus for the sacrifice you paid, thank you for choosing to become the sacrificial lamb and now I have peace with the father, Amen!
