AbayeLiz Daily Inspirational A LIVING SACRIFICE 3 MEMORY VERSE: - Romans 12:1 - “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship.” Paul further admonished us in this Romans 12:1 to also offer ourselves as a 'HOLY SACRIFICE' Although God called us out of unworthiness and made us holy, however He demands that we continue in the part of holiness.  Wherefore He said, "Be ye holy, for I the Lord I am holy" [1 Peter 1:16]. Furthermore, in Hebrews 12:14 Paul declared affirmatively, "Without holiness no man can see God." Oh everyone wants to go to heaven, we all want to behold our heavenly father one day face to face: but how many are willing to do the needful? How many are willing to pay the price and be holy? Holiness is not an option, but a necessity and a command. It is part of the requirement for us to be true worshipers of

A LIVING SACRIFICE 2

As believers, how do we consecrate and offer ourselves to God as a living sacrifice? We do that by not conforming to this world as our memory verse tells us. To be conformed is to be fashioned as, to imitate, and to adapt. In order word we are not to do things as the people of the world do, we must not follow the systems and standards of this world. The world is defined for us in 1 John 2:15-16 as “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.” All that the world has to offer can be reduced to these three things. The lust of the flesh includes everything that appeals to our appetites and involves excessive desires; such as immorality, drunkenness, and anything else that satisfies physical needs.

A LIVING SACRIFICE

It's important we understand that one who offers the gifts must first of all offer himself or herself before he or she can offer a worthy offering to God. The father is more interested in you than in the things you offer, therefore you must make yourself ready for a worthy offering.  You can't offer God an offering with blemishes or defiled. Know that God must first accept the giver before He can accept the gifts. Thus

REFUGE AND FORTRESS

Image
AbayeLiz Daily Inspirational   REFUGE AND FORTRESS MEMORY VERSE: - Psalm 91:2 - “I will say to the LORD: My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.” A refuge is a state of safety, protection or shelter while fortress is a fortified place. The psalmist boldly declared that the Lord Jahovah was his refuge and fortress because he trusted in Him and thus had experienced His awesome power of protection. God is a refuge and fortress to anyone who have relationship with Him. He is their safe place, their retreat, the place they go when they are faced with challenges and fear. And there is a lot of fear going on in the world today but God is our shelter, strength and fortified place. Those who take refuge in man or created things are oftentimes disappointed; but we are assured that those who make the Lord their refuge and fortress are never disappointed. God is our shelter, our guard, our protector. He is the only one that could provide the protection that we need. David in Psalm 1

BE THE CHANGE

AbayeLiz Daily Inspirational BE THE CHANGE MEMORY VERSE: - Romans 12:2 - "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" Change is one thing we all expect to see in our lives, we want situations and circumstances around us to change for the better but the truth is that we need to be the change we want to see, it has to begin with us because if you don’t change nothing will change. It's important we understand that in order for things to change it must start from the foundation or root. Thus it must start with us. That was the reason why when Jesus began to preach, he declared, "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" Matt 4:17. To repent is simply saying " CHANGE ". Therefore Jesus was letting his audience to understand that for them to be able to embrace the kingdom of God that was to come to them, they needed to first of all sta

OPEN DOOR

Image
AbayeLiz Daily Inspirational   OPEN DOOR MEMORY VERSE: - Revelation 3:8 - “I know thy works: Behold I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it….” Jesus said he has set before you an open door and if a door is open, it is expected of you to go through that door. But it's a shame that on regular basis, many see doors of opportunities open before them, yet they don't do anything about it.  Paul in 1 Corinthians 16:9 said, “For a great and effective door has opened to me…..” child of God, you have prayed for doors to be opened for you and now Jesus is saying, you should “Behold" that is to say, "See” yes! lift up your head from whence it has been bending in anticipation and look straight, there is a huge door of opportunity set open before you. He said, “I have set before you an open door” Oh beloved, the door has been set open before you and all that is required of you is to go through it: for in that door are many opportunities. So, enter into your

BEAUTY FOR ASHES

Image
AbayeLiz Daily Inspirational   BEAUTY FOR ASHES MEMORY VERSE: - Isaiah 60:1,3 - "The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor......... and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes" Beauty in this passage signifies glory while ashes signifies sorrow, anguish, pains, and afflictions. When a believer is functioning in this realm, it means the beauty of the Lord is not made manifest in him or her. The scripture says, “Let the beauty of the Lord your God be seen in you” Psalm 90:17. Today in Christ all who are in Him has been given beauty instead of ashes; therefore, it's important we do accept any form of ashes kind of life. When people live in ashes, they live in murmuring, sighing, unhappiness, and in religion instead of relationship.  Are you experiencing ashes of broken promises, unrealized hope, unachieved goals, cast them upon Jesus and He will give you
