TRUE WORSHIP 3

MEMORY VERSE: - John 4:23 - “For God is a spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).

A lot of people are carried away with physical appearances, magnificent structures and a humanistic system of worship: that they do not seek, recognise or identify true worship from a pure heart that is given to the truth. While men look at the physical appearance, God looks at the heart: (See 1 Samuel 16:7); for He is the searcher of every man’s heart. (See Jeremiah 17:10).

Therefore, true worship is not in the magnificent building, although it is good to have such befitting worship places for our God. True worship is also not in exciting music neither is it in a code of dressing. True worship is in 'loving God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ (Matthew 22:37). 

Furthermore, true worship is in obedience to God’s instructions. Jesus said, “If you love me, obey my commandments" (John 14:15). And true worship is in submission to God’s Will and it’s from a pure heart with a clear conscience cleansed from every wickedness.

The scripture in Psalms 24:3-4 says, [3] "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? [4] He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully."

Child of God, there is a realm where the believer ascend to greater heights in worship, the place where the flesh has no place in the worshipper because it has been subdued. The place of total submission to the King Of Glory, that realm is the dimension of true worship and there, the Lord commands his blessing upon the worshipper.


PRAYER 

Thank you, Lord, for your word that is the only truth. And this day I pray that you help me Lord to see the truth and to live only for the truth. Let my worship be breathed out from your truth within me in Jesus’ name, Amen

Their king passes on before them, the Lord at their head"   To 'Go' is to make a movement, while 'beyond' is to stretch more than usual, it's to go further, to go farther than normal, to go over the above limits.
