 AbayeLiz Daily Inspirational  THE CHOSEN VESSEL PT 2 MEMORY VERSE: - 2 Timothy 2:20-21 - "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver , but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work." In part 1 of this series we saw what it means to be chosen and what a vessel is. Now, let us bring the two words together, 'CHOSEN VESSEL' To become a chosen vessel is not for those who mess around or violate their vessel.  It is not entered into by being religious, it is not entered into by your looks or by physical appearance but it is entered into by:  1. CONSECRATION Joshua 3:5 says, "Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” (ESV). God's church is the great house here and it's not every body in the church that is qualified to enter into a certain realm in God. It is a place reserved for the chosen ones. Salvation is free, but to be chosen will cost you something. In Matthew 22:14 Jesus said, " Many are called but few are CHOSEN." To be " Called " refers to a broad invitation to a general state of salvation or service, while to be "Chosen" signifies a divine selection, to be set apart, and to be singled out for a specific purpose or mission.
