 CALLED TO GLORY

MEMORY VERSE: - Peter 1:3, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”

Our text says, we have been called to live a life of glory and virtue. Virtue speaks of excellence. It's a pity that mankind sees this as something that attributes to the dead. Peter was not talking to the dead but the living believers for as we well know the dead is lifeless, and they do not praise nor glorifies God, “The dead do not praise the Lord, nor do any who go down into silence” (Psalm 115:17).

The life of glory is a life that glorifies God. It's a life of excellence, and that of praise and since it is only the living that can do such, the believer is to glorify God in this world through His manifold goodness in their lives.

Assuredly, there is nothing holding back from the believer because of the indwelling Spirit of Christ in them. The impartation of the glory of God produces everything that you need to live the kingdom life here in this world. But you have to believe it and walk thereby.

It is improper to be in the overflowing grace of the indwelling Christ and yet miss out of his abundance stored up in His glory due to misunderstanding and wrong view of God. God is a glorious God, and He has given us His glorious life by the indwelling Holy Spirit. As a result, we are to live the life of glory right here and right now in this life, conquering every ground, winning every battle, excelling in all aspects of life. How can we neglect such a great glory and allow the enemy to feed us with lies about him?

Beloved of God, you and I who are in Christ has been called, chosen and selected to a life of glory and virtue. Wherefore the scripture says, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that you should show forth the praises of Him who hath called us out of darkness into His marvellous light” 1 Peter 2:9. There are countless opportunities for us and there is no stopping us if only we can dare to tap into the glory of Christ in us by faith: For the glory will cause us to succeed in all things.

PRAYER
Father Lord, I thank you for calling and choosing me for glory and virtue, thank you for the indwelling Holy Spirit in me. I confess that from this day henceforth, I begin to live the life of glory and virtue in Jesus’ name, Amen
