 FROM SMALL TO GREAT 

MEMORY VERSE: - Job 8:7 - “Though your beginning was small, your latter end would increase abundantly”

A Nobel writer ‘Joshua Williams’ wrote, “We can start small, and that small change will eventually make a huge change so that hunger will be no more!" Certainly, it is not about how one starts but what you make out of it and how you grow it from being small to great is what matters.

The scripture encourages us to not “Despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin” (Zechariah 4:10). You don't neglect small beginnings rather, you build it up little by little; wherefore the scripture says, “Whoever gathers little by little will increase” (Proverbs 13:11). And a good planning will cause your little to become great. Therefore, do not be afraid to start from where you are, remember a giant oak tree starts as a small seed. In the same way, the greatest works in our lives often start small.

 On daily basis, we have opportunities presenting itself to us but most people see it as too small and so do not make proper use of it. It is expedient that we make most use of every opportunity; be committed to it and build upward. Therefore, work hard to be excellent in what you do, do not give in to norm for your true success in life begins only when you make the commitment to become excellent in what you do. 

Look at what Paul said in Philippians 3:14, “I press towards the goal for the price of the upward calling of God in Christ”. So, do you want to become all that God created you be? Then you must press towards the goal, press towards your dreams, press towards achieving greatness. You must always see yourself as the winner and never a looser. 

It is said, when there is a will, there’s a way, so you need that inner strong will and determination and then a way to accomplishing all that you desire will be opened unto you.

Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
