OVERCOMERS OF THE WORLD


MEMORY VERSE: - 1 John 5:4 - "For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith".

The dictionary defines an overcomer as a person who overcomes something: he or she is one who succeeds in dealing with or gaining control of some problem or difficulty. However, The bible teaches us that as Christians, we are overcomers not because of what we have personally done but because of what Christ has done for us. He overcame everything that would defeat us and gave us the victory. So, we are OVERCOMERS in Christ.

 Wherefore He said, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 ESV. When Christ says He had overcome the world, He meant that He had defeated the enemy on our behalf.

 Circumstances, Challenges and trials are part of the world which we are made overcomers over every one of them in Christ. The victory of Christ sacrifice on the cross is forever settled for us, all we need is to make it manifest by taking of stand in His Word, and declaring it day and night.

Knowing that we are OVERCOMERS in Christ, Paul declared ".... in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." Romans 8:37 KJV. We've been made far beyond victorious in Christ. We are not about to conquer but had already conquered. When we understand this spiritual principle it will help us line up our life with what's been done already.

No Christian has the right to live in defeat, not now, not in the future and not forever. The kingdom life is what we are to live in this life not to wait until hereafter. When the enemy brings his scheme against you, you are to stand up in power of the Holy Spirit and kick them out because you are far beyond victorious in every area of your life.


PRAYER

Thank you Lord Jesus for loving me and taking care of things for me, Thank you for making me more than a conqueror. Now in your name Jesus, I take my place in the world, I overthrow all that are risen against me in Jesus’ name, Amen
