CREATED UNTO GOOD WORKS


MEMORY VERSE: - Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” 

To be God's workmanship means that we are the work of God’s hands; we are His design, handicraft, handiwork and not our own. Secondly He carved us perfectly for good works. Since we are designed for good works, then we need to do something great in this life, in our environment, in the society, in our community etc. good works that will glorify God.

God’s work of grace was accomplished in our lives when He recreated us in Christ Jesus but among many reasons for our recreation is “Good Works.” We must let virtue spring forth from the resources of that grace and do good works. We are to be good ambassadors for where there are no good works, there is no indwelling of the Spirit of grace.

It is true that we are people of faith, however, the faith which does not produce good works is not true faith: it is not God’s kind of faith: for it was said of Christ who we know exhibited God’s kind of faith here on earth that He “went about doing good” Acts 10:38.

Salvation is not of works; but then again, we, who are the products of divine grace, are to do good works that will bring honor and praise to the name of the Lord.


 PRAYER

Thank you Lord God for creating me unto good works, and by your grace, I can be a blessing to the society and to impart my world in Jesus name, Amen.

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
