STOP PROCRASTINATING

MEMORY VERSE: - John 9:4 - "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work."

Now, what is procrastination? To procrastinate is to keep delaying something that must be done, it is to be slow or late about doing something that should be done. It is to delay taking action until a later time because you do not want to do it, and because you are lazy. It is put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness. It is to continuously postpone. 

 John 4:35 tells us, "Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."

Those who procrastinate are always giving excuses why they are not doing what they ought to do. They give excuse with their location, they complain about the weather, they give excuse of the season and all manner of excuses. They see everything and everyone as the problem except themselves.

He or she who hesitate is a procrastinator and a procrastinator is a sluggard person and look at how the scripture places such person, "The sluggard does not plow in the autumn; he will seek at harvest and have nothing” (Proverbs 20:4). The autumn here is referring to planting season, season of work, a time to cast your seed here and there. 

A sluggard is a slothful, inactive, or lazy person. The sluggard person who gives many excuses at the time of sowing will not have the joy that comes from harvest. His or her expectations are not actualized.

 Don't cage your vision, stop procrastinating, the time is now, arise, wake up from the sleep of procrastination and put your dreams to work. 


 PRAYER

Heavenly Father, am sorry for not doing what I ought to do, am sorry for procrastinating. I break out of the hold of procrastination and I arise unto action in Jesus name, Amen.
