LIGHT OF THE WORLD

MEMORY VERSE: - Matthew 5:13 - "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden."

 Jesus calls Himself "The light of the world." And in John 1: 4-5, John said He is "the light of men,"....... "the light that shines in the darkness." Therefore, through our relationship with Christ, we have become lights as He is light, as a result, we have a responsibility for the world, which is; to influence the world positively with the light in us.

We are the vessels that God will use to light the world, thus, our actions should reflect the light in us. We have that light shining through our lives if our actions reflect the nature of Christ. Jesus told us, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).

One of the way to shine our light is by doing the acts of kindness. Touch someone's life with good deeds. There are many out there that you can put a smile on their face just by one little help rendered. 


 PRAYER

Thank you heavenly Father for making me to be a light. By your grace I will shine forth your light in me in Jesus’ name, Amen

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
