SHINE YOUR LIGHT


MEMORY VERSE: - Matthew 5:14 - "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

When Jesus was physically in the world, he was the light and he shined so brightly that everyone could see the light in Him. He touched lives in an unusual way and brought joy to many lives. Wherefore, he says, “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” -John 9:5. Now! Christ is in heaven and He says to you and I the very words He said about Himself, "You are the light of the world"

 You and I is the mirror that reflects His light to the world. We are the Jesus that the world can see therefore, we are to influence the world with the light in us. As a believer, you’re chosen to light up the darkness in the world and overshadow it with the light in you. Psalm 74:20 says, “…the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty,” but you’re that light in a dark world, so impact the world with your light.

Moreover, 1 Thessalonians 5:5 says, “Ye are all children of light, and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.” You can’t be different from your father. You are Jahovah God child, you are his replica, as he is light, so also are you; so, illuminate the world with the glorious light of Jahovah God in you. Wherever you find yourself shine your light, in market place, in office, in school, at home, in public places etc. do good deeds through the light in you.

You’re the light of your world, in much the same way as Jesus was the Light of the world, so, let your light shine like that of Christ in the sight of men. Let them see the good things you do and praise your Father in Heaven. Peter says, "Conduct yourselves with such honor among the Gentiles that, though they slander you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us." 1 Peter 2:12


 PRAYER

Thank you my father for your light in me, right now, I begin to influence the world with that light in Jesus name, Amen

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
