A LIVING HOPE

MEMORY VERSE: - 1Peter 1:3 - "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By yourhis great mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead".

The first thing we see in our memory verse is the basis of our living hope. It comes as a result of our relationship with Christ. By his great mercy we have new birth and because we are now children we are given a living hope. 

Peter made us to understand that our hope in Christ is not dead but alive. Something that is living is that which is active and functional. Thus it has the inbuilt ability to produce great things in our lives. 

Living in the light and life of Jesus’ resurrection does not exempt us from life’s challenges however, if you have a living hope in the living Christ you can deal with any issue that comes your way. 

A great characteristic of the Christian life is that we live in hope. Christian hope sustains in the midst of difficulties, for hope is born out of full confidence, belief, and trust in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Hope is an expectation and the scriptures says, "........ and thine expectation shall not be cut off." Proverbs 23:18. Surely the expectations of the righteous can never be cut off because the Spirit of God is in it. By the power of the HOLY Spirit their hope is quickened and given a body to be made real in their lives.

Child of God, What is that which you hoped for and it looks as though everything around you is saying no to its manifestation, you must keep your hope alive no matter what. For it will surely come to pass. For God who has promised will never fail.... 

Every hope in Christ are never disappointed as it is written, "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Romans 5:5


PRAYER

Thank you heavenly Father for the gift of living hope... Now I have an active life, I have a future, am excelling in all things in Jesus name, Amen.
