GRACE FOR GOOD WORKS

MEMORY VERSE: - Ephesians. 2:10 - “For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Paul made us know that “Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation” that is to say, they are new breeds, new species of beings. Jahovah God took out time to bring mankind back to Himself by recreating them. Now, why did He do that? Is it for us to continue in our old ways and live like everyone else in the world? The answer is no. 

God's purpose for recreating the believer is for them to be His representative on earth, to do His will, to live out His life on earth amongst many others. Therefore, we are not recreated to live like every other person in the world; but to affect the world positively with the grace of God in us. To make a difference, to make an impact through living a godly life. 

The power to do good works has been implanted in us; it is the grace of God which enables us to achieve what the ordinary man could not do. Grace is the power of God in our new birth experiences that enables us to do good works, it helps us to live rightly and shine forth as lights in a world full of darkness. Light overshadows darkness, and as light overshadows darkness so also good deeds overcome evil.

The scripture in Titus 2:11-12 tells us,"[11] For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, [12] teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age." Certainly, God's grace is not in the believer for them to continue in their sinful nature and ways of life, but He is there to help them live right according to God's standard. He is there to teach them how to do things in the Kingdom way. He teaches them to depart from error, iniquity, immortality, deception, and everything that can defile a man or woman who is in Christ.

Peter in 1Peter 3:10 said, “Anyone that desires life and wants to see good days in his life should depart from evil and do good..." By doing good deeds we are living out God's Word and life in the world. Whosoever that refuses to live in the truth of His Word is inviting evil days into his or her life. God's will is that we have a good life and prosper in all our ways, but we are left to make a choice with the right to choose if we want it or not.

Due to the evil nature that took over humanity at the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, mankind could not do the good works they were recreated for. This was why God's grace, had to come. Through grace, our past is cleansed and we are brought into our original place in God to do the good things that He created us to do.


PRAYER

Heavenly father, I am grateful for your love and grace. I submit to your grace today to help me do the good works I’ve been created in Christ to do in Jesus’ name, Amen

Their king passes on before them, the Lord at their head"   To 'Go' is to make a movement, while 'beyond' is to stretch more than usual, it's to go further, to go farther than normal, to go over the above limits.   THE POWER OF PRAYER AND PRAISE MEMORY VERSE: - Acts 16:25 - "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them" Paul and Silas were on their way to prayer, when they encountered a fortune telling girl. The spirit inside the girl knew the truth about God’s power, and she followed them for days saying the same thing over and over. Eventually, Paul sensed that the spirit in her is not right thus, he cast the spirit out of her. This made her masters angry and they came after Paul and Silas and locked them up in the prison.
