HIS SHAME! YOUR HONOR


MEMORY VERSE: - Hebrews 12:2 - "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

The Lord Jesus felt a deep sense of “shame” and “embarrassment” in that horrific moment when He was being tortured for the sins of the world. But for the sake of the joy of you and I coming into the divine family and taking our rightful position in life, he endured the shame and took in all of it.

Wherefore, He took our place of shame, reproach, mockery, and all manner of negatives.... Yes! he bore our shame in His body, He took it along with many other of our infirmities to the cross and there! 

Yes right there on the cross shame was crucified, shame died and shame was buried in the tomb so that all those who will receive Him will no longer suffer shame of any kind.

This was declared many years ago by Isaiah the prophet "Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don't be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you. You will no longer remember the shame of your youth and the sorrows of widowhood." Isaiah 54:4.

So, beloved, assuredly shame have no power or dominion over you any more for in the place of shame is honour. You have been made honourable as it is written, "Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable" Isaiah 43:4

Furthermore Isaiah 61:7 said, "Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy."

PRAYER 
Lord Jesus, I am so grateful to you for your sacrifice for us, thank you for taking away shame and in exchange for giving me honor, Amen.

Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
