DO NOT BE DECEIVED

MEMORY VERSE: - Matthew 24:24 - "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect"

We live in a time were deception is on high, a period where the devil have come out with his full regalia as an angel of light, to deceive many. Now, to deceive is to persuade someone that something false is the truth, or to keep the truth hidden from someone for your own advantage. However, to be deceived is to be mislead, to be misguided, to accept as true or as valid what is false or what is invalid, It is to fail to admit to oneself that something is not right.

Oftentimes people know the truth deep down within them but they give in to deceit thereby deceiving themselves that something false is true. They allow the false ministers to make merchandise of them in the name of the anointing, doing all manners of atrocities in the name of Jesus. Listen, that something wrong is being done in Jesus name doesn't make it right.

Our text says the deceivers shall perform great wonders to the point that even the elect will be deceived by their falsehood. The elect here is talking about the chosen ones. These are believers who have once stood for their faith, refusing to compromise. They have tasted and have experienced the power and goodness of God in their lives, yet, due to some situation in their life, they give in to lying wonders and turned away from the truth. 

As a child of God, no shaking should make you give in to the devil, for that situation has its expiration date. Moreover, you are a sign and a wonder not a wonder seeker. You're God's temple, you are God's habitation, His tabernacle, His sanctuary. It's a great error for you to be running here and there for miracles and allow yourself to be deceived. Rather, pray earnestly.


PRAYER

O' Lord, have mercy on me, forgive me for allowing myself to be lured into deception. Cleanse me and restore me back to you in Jesus name, Amen.
