CONTEND FOR YOUR DESTINY 

MEMORY VERSE: - 1 Timothy 6:12 - “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called......"

Destiny is not just strolled into, it's something of great importance that the enemy would not want you to take possession of it and reign in life, hence, one must contend vehemently to grasp it. It's a pity that a lot of people do not see the reason why they have to stand up and contend for their destiny until it shines forth and becomes a reality in their lives.

Jesus who came from heaven, who has been at the bosom of father.... The one that is the expression of God had to fight in order to achieve destiny on earth. He had to deal with forces from the spiritual realm.... He knew he couldn't function rightly without dealing with things that would have stood against Him and so He went into prayers.... He separated himself for 40 days and 40 nights.

One would have expected him to not do such since He was the son of God and came from God. But he proved to us that for us to become all that God ordained us for in this world, we must countend and layhold of our destiny. 

Listen to me, until you take out the altars, break covenants that has been speaking in the family, you cannot move with the right level of speed.

In Luke 10: 19 Jesus says, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." It is in you and I to do something about the forces that have hindered us for far too long. The power it's in us, the grace is in us, so, we must put our authority to work, we must take charge.

PRAYER 

Father in heaven, thank you for destinning me for greatness. I stand in faith in your word and kick out every thing that stands against me in achieving destiny, Amen

Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
