DANGER OF PRAYERLESSNESS

MEMORY VERSE: - Matthew 13:25 - "But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way."

It is very dangerous for a believer to be lazy in prayers.... It is a spiritual death sentence when one do not pray. When you don't pray, you are letting other forces or people dictate the life you live. And you might not like what they decide. You will not like what they will be putting you through but you may have to put up with it because you didn't pray.

Prayer is your ticket to living the kind of life you want. Prayer is your master key to open and unlock every door that you want to go through. One who prays controls the affairs of his or her destiny. One who prays subdues and exercises dominion. One who prays reigns in life.

When the enemy wants to get you, the first thing they get is your prayer life. That is, they quench your fire. Understand that as far as your prayer life is intact, you are surrounded with fire. 

But when it goes down, your fire gradually goes down until it goes out. (Just as Moses glory faded away gradually until it faded out completely) Then the enemy will now have opening to enter and strick.

Remember Job, the devil could not touch him because he had a hedge around him. Same way your fire is your hedge. Also when God put a pillar of fire by night and cloud by day, the enemy could not pass to them. That was their hedge.

Our memory verse says "The enemy came in and sow weeds because the good man went to sleep." So, when you do not pray, the enemy will come in and plant evil. They will steal from you, steal your jobs, steal your promotion, steal your joy and peace and will proceed further to kill, and finally destroy.

When the church was sleeping in Jerusalem, the enemy struck them (See Acts 12: 1-4). But when they awoke from the sleep of prayerlessness, they got miracle that was too good to be true. (Acts 12: 5-15).


PRAYER

Heavenly father, I thank you for your love. Today, I break loose from the hold of laziness that is causing prayerlessness in my life in Jesus name, Amen.
