HEARTFELT PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS 3

MEMORY VERSE: - James 5:16 - “....The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

Today we are looking at Point #3: "THE RIGHTEOUS MAN PRAYER". One major thing that is killing people's prayer is unrighteousness. Oh, how we are taking God's grace for granted. How we abuse the grace of God. How we have been deceived that because grace has come we can do anything and live anyhow and behave anyhow we want, and they say God is okay with it because His grace covers us.

Have Jesus come to now give us right to sin? Did he die for our sins so that we can have a better way to live a sinful life in his grace? Paul asked a question in Romans 6:1-2; "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?" And in the next verse he said, "God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" 

Grace of God has not come for us to keep on living in unrighteousness but has come to help us live God's kind of life in this world. A life given to sin is a life void of God's presence and such a person's prayer is an abomination to God. (See Proverbs 15:18).

The scripture told us what grace does for us in Titus 2:11-12, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world."

 Listen, sin gives the devil power over one, sin opens door for the adversary to come in and finally it brings death. If you want to enjoy God's grace that brings about results to prayers, if you do not want hinderances to your prayers, then you must flee from sin and embrace righteousness.


PRAYER

 Glorious Father, I thank you for your mercies, I ask that you pardon my errors, cleans me and renew me. Let everything hat stands against me in prayer e totally removed from me in Jesus name, Amen.
