HEARTFELT PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS

MEMORY VERSE: - James 5:16 - “.... The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

It is not enough to pray but to pray properly. To pray and get the answers that one desires, to receive solution to your situation. So, we shall be looking at 3 points from our text: 1. HEARTFELT PRAYER.

2. PERSISTENT PRAYER. 

3. RIGHTEOUS MAN PRAYER.

Today we are dealing with "HEARTFELT PRAYER." James in this passage brings us the understanding that prayer is not mechanical but a heartfelt thing. It is something you do because you are certain it will produce the desired results.

 It's a pity that many are praying but their heart is not connected to their prayers. They say something with their mouth while in their heart they are doubting God's ability. They do not have trust in their prayers neither do they believe that God has all it takes to bring about tremendous changes in their lives.

The heartfelt prayer is a prayer of faith. It's a prayer that sees result before it begins, it's a prayer that sees only possibilities. In Luke 18:8 Jesus asked, "....when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"

 Jesus did not say if He shall find people praying on earth but if He shall find faith. This is because people will certainly be praying, in fact they will pray long prayers, fast many days but without faith.

Such prayers are noise in God's ear due to lack of the substance. Now, the scripture tells us that "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11:1. 

The prayer of faith is that which comes from within us. Such are prayers that brings about results. They are mountain moving prayers, and prayers that causes a great shift in the spiritual realm.


PRAYER 

 Holy Father, I thank you for your love and this day, I repent from the sin of faithlessness. I break out of doubt and unbelief and I wake up to faith in the name of Jesus, Amen.
