DEALING WITH FAULTY FOUNDATION 2

MEMORY VERSE: - 1Corinthians 3:11 - "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

A lot of people put in so much efforts in life, they work their life out, they go extra mile in order to achieve a goal and at the end they have nothing to show for it. Some are suffering evil family pattern, everyone is experiencing the same thing, in fact it has been from the ancient times and because no one has done or is doing anything about it, it continued.

Understand that if you don't deal with faulty foundation, it will deal with you. It will put you in a position you never want to be. It will make you a nobody. You may have all the wisdom, knowledge, skills, ideas etc but you will not go anywhere in life because faulty foundation is resisting you.

In Judges 6, We read about Gideon who the Lord instructed to deal with his father's house altars before embarking on the mission he was sending him. Verse 24 says, "Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah shalom:" However, in verse 25 the Lord instructed him to destroy his father's household altars.

 Now, Gideon offered sacrifice unto the Lord which was a kind of worship. Afterwards, the Lord told him what to do before embarking on the mission, he had to destroy his father's house altars. 

We can never underestimate the power of worship.... Worship opens us up to the place of power and grace. Gideon's worship opened the door for him to receive direction from the Lord on what to do so that the enemy will not have hold on him. 

It's good to worship but you must deal with things that are contending with your destiny. The father's altars were faulty foundation in his life that if not dealt with, it will stand as a resistance to his calling and destiny. If we want to enjoy smooth ride in the journey of destiny, we must deal with faulty foundation, destroy altars and break covenants.


PRAYER 

 By the blood of Jesus, I throw down every stronghold of evil foundation in my life and family. I break loose from evil family pattern in Jesus name, Amen.
