ACCUSER OF THE BRETHREN 3

MEMORY VERSE: - 1Samuel 21:1 - "Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David inquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, “It is because of Saul and his bloodthirsty house, because he killed the Gibeonites.”

In veiw of what we have been discussing, it is obvious that the #1 thing to do when you have prayed over and have fought in warfare without having any headway, is to seek the Lord in order to know what's going on and to get direction on what to do. The scripture in Jeremiah 33:3 says, ‘Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.’

Yes! Call unto him when all your knowledge and understanding have failed and let Him reveal what the issue is. You will be surprise that it's just one little thing that is standing on the way using legal rights over some covenant or over an iniquity. It could be something that was done by your ancestors, or an error you may have made that the accuser is using to have a hold over your life and stands against you from receiving what's rightfully yours and resisting your prayers.

Until David inquired of the Lord, they continued to experience famine year after year. But when he sought the Lord, the root of the problem was revealed to him. He saw what was standing against him and his entire nations prayer. The Lord told him, "It is because of Saul and his bloodthirsty house, because he killed the Gibeonites:" God respects covenant. 

You may recall that Joshua made a covenant with the Gibonites who tricked them that they came from far, meanwhile they were their neighbors.... It was after Joshua had made the covenant with them that they found out who they truly were.... (See Joshua 9). Lesson to learn here... 1. Don't be too hasty to take decision... 2. Don't believe everything you see or hear because things are not always the way they appear.

PRAYER 

Oh Lord, open my eyes to see what has been standing against me and help me with the right prayer that will silent the accuser, in the name of Jesus, Amen!!
