REST IN CHRIST 2
MEMORY VERSE: - Hebrews 4:10 - "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."
Outside of rest is frustration, toiling, struggling and making so much efforts with little or no results. To struggle is to put in so much efforts to do something, it is to Make one’s way with difficulty. The scripture in Eccl. 10:10. says, "If the axe is blunt, and one doesn't sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength"
This is what struggling does, it makes one to operate with so much difficulty. They put in so much effort to achieve little thing and sometimes no achievement at all. Such was the case of Peter and his colleagues; they toiled all night yet, they had nothing. "And Simon answering said unto Him, “Master, we have toiled all the night and have taken" (Luke 5:5).
Now, with what Peter said, it is obvious that they put in so much effort, they put in their best, they were committed to their work; yet, the power that causes results to happen was lacking hence, their efforts were fruitless.
No one can function outside the Holy Spirit of Christ who is the giver of rest. Jesus said "without me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). Hence he invites us to come over from the side of burdens of struggling to His side where burdens are lifted away and rest is given instead. Wherefore, he said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 (NLT).

PRAYER
Thank you Lord for rest. I this day move out of the realms of streggle and frustration into that of Christ rest and peace in Jesus name, Amen
