DOING THE EXCEPTIONAL THING


MEMORY VERSE: - 1 Corinthians 15:10 - "But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, _I worked harder than any of them,_ though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me."

Those who want to be outstanding and successful in life must be ready to do the exceptional things. They must be ready to go the extra mile. In order word, they must do something beyond norm, go beyond limit, stretch themselves farther....

Paul's secret that made him excelled more than every other Apostle was his doing the exceptional things that others didn't do. Wherefore he said, ".....I worked harder than any of them......" He worked harder, he went the extra mile, he put in more effort thus, he excelled above them all.

You can't go anywhere doing the regular.... Not willing to stretch yourself a little further..... Not ready to be uncomfortable. Our father of faith 'Abraham' was ready to be uncomfortable, and homeless in order to become what God wants for him.

 Hence, Hebrews 11:8-9 says, "By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going." "By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents......" All those who achieve an unusual level of greatness in life did the exceptional things. 

You don't just stroll into the level of greatness without doing the extra things, you must pay the price, you must do things differently, you must become restless and unsatisfied with the norm. Do not be afraid to be wrong or make mistakes. Mistakes are part of success journey.

PRAYER
Father in heaven, I praise you, I pray that you give me grace to go beyond the norm and do the exceptional things in Jesus name, Amen!!
