EXAMINE YOURSELF

EXAMINE YOURSELF

MEMORY VERSE: - 1 Corinthians 11:28. - "Let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink ofthat cup."

As we journey in our christian walk, we are faced with many challenges in the world and if we are not careful we may miss it. Thus, because of the times in which we live, self-examination is necessary so that we correct ourselves on a regular basis to make sure we continue to bring honor to our Lord Jesus Christ.

There's tendency that one can be overwhelmed with issues of this life and the heart begins to drift away unknowingly. Wherefore, it's important for us to examine ourselves from time to time to ascertain we are in alignment with God's Will and ensure that we are walking worthy of our calling.

Understand that when we keep a check over our hearts, we are able to set our hearts right with God because he watches our hearts and judges every intents of the heart. The Lord knows those whose hearts are right towards him, He knows those that are pretentious, He knows those who are in the church bodily but inwardly they are far from Him.

Concerning Amaziah the scripture said he served the Lord but not with an perfect heart.... “Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign....... And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart." 2 Chronicles 25:1, 2. Amaziah did what was right as commanded by the Lord, but his heart and motives behind it was wrong and the Lord took notice of his heart.

You may be committed in the church and be very zealous (which is a good thing) but it's your heart right with what you are doing? Are you working with pretentious heart? Is the motive behind your service right or selfish? Remember, the Lord sees the heart and He knows those whose hearts are not perfect. Therefore, examine yourself to be sure that you are in right standing with God.

PRAYER
Holy Father, we bless your name, we lay our hearts and worship you. Oh Lord purify my heart, make it ever true that I may be an ambassador that brings you honor and glory in Jesus name, Amen!!
