THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S

THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S

MEMORY VERSE: - Chronicles 20:15b - "This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's." (NIV).

This saying goes amongst believers, 'there are battles to fight and victories to win'. However, these battles are not fought by human's strength because what we are up against is not physical even as Paul told us, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12).

Although many do not understand this spiritual realm of the Lord's battle hence, they tend to fight the battle by their strength.... In the book of Zechariah 4:6 The God said, "....Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit...."

If the battle is the Lord's where then do we come in? Or does it mean we do nothing? Of course we have a role to play, for the battle of the Lord is that battle of prayer of faith and the word of God which is our weapon. It is not a battle where one carries physical weapon or use any physical means to fight.

It is the battle of the spirits and it takes a spirit to deal with the spirit. Since, what we are up against is not physical but spiritual we then, need the One who is Spirit to handle the spiritual realm for us. Therefore, submit yourself wholly to God and allow him deal with the enemies his own way. Just do your part and leave the rest to him.

When we try to battle by our strength we weary ourselves out but when we surrender it to the Lord, we have unusual victories. In Deuteronomy 20:4, "The scripture says, for the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory." So, go ahead and hand the battle over to the Lord and enjoy the victory as the Lord fights for you.

PRAYER
Father Lord, I thank you for fighting my battles for me and this day I surrender all my battles to you and ask that you take care of them in Jesus name, Amen.
