PUT YOUR LIGHT ON 3

MEMORY VERSE: - Matthew 5:14 - “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden"

Another thing that will help our light to shine brighter and brighter is building a strong relationship with the Holy Spirit. He is the secret key to keeping our light shining and ever increasing. 

There can be no fellowship with the Father and the Son without the communion with the Holy Spirit, hence we must develop the habit of constant communion with the Holy Spirit.

You can't be a child of God and have darkness in you. God is the source of the light in us and it will be unchristian to think you are in darkness in Him.

Wherefore John wrote, "This then is the message which we have heard from Him and declare unto you: that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all" (1 John 1:5). Indeed God is light and all that is begotten of Him is light and in them there is no darkness at all.

Kind begat kind, goat gives birth to goats, cat gives birth to cat. Light gives birth to light. It's an error for God's child to think he or she have darkness in them. What you have inside of you is light, so draw from within you that light and run out every activities of darkness operation around you. 

In verse 6 and 7 John further said that "If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another." Of a truth, the more fellowship we have with the Holy Spirit, the more God's Anointing in us increases, and the more we experience great grace and blessings. 

It will be unwise to distance oneself from the One who is the true light and the source of it. The closer we get with God the more his light and glory shines brighter but to be far from Him is to be lost in Him and to be lost in light. In order word, distance from God is distance form light.


PRAYER

Thank you father for the gift of the Holy Spirit. I thank you, O' Spirit of the living God for your ever presence with me and in me. I ask that you help me to get deeper in our relationship from this day onward, in Jesus name, Amen.
