FINISHING THE GOOD WORK


MEMORY VERSE: Philippians 1:6 - “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"

Confidence means feeling sure of oneself and abilities. It is having no uncertainty about one's own abilities, having strong belief or full assurance. It's a quiet inner knowledge that you're capable. 

However, we are not dealing with self confidence here but our confidence in God's ability to finish the good work he has begun to do in our lives. 

Paul the apostle says he was "Confident of one thing" In order word, he was very sure, he was certain, he had strong belief or full assurance, about the performance of God. 

There were no uncertainty about God's abilities, correctness, and capability to complete that project He has started doing in their life and bring it to perfection.

God hasn't brought you this far to abandon you. He will not let the enemy put a stop to the good work He is doing in your life. The Lord said in Isaiah 66:9, “Shall I bring to the point of birth, and not give delivery?” says the LORD. “Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb?” says your God." Not at all..... He will certainly finish the good work by causing delivery to take place.

It doesn't matter how much the enemy fights against that good work, it doesn't matter the stumbling blocks they mount on your way to finishing point, one thing is sure, they cannot stop it because God who is the initiator of the good work is actively involved with you and He is One who does not stop half way.

The One who has begotten us as dear children is stronger than all powers. He is faithful in all His doings, thus, He will faithfully perfect what He has begun to do in your life. He has promised "never to leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 ).

Furthermore, He said, "See, I am with you always, even to the end of the world". Matt. 28:20. Therefore know for sure that the Lord who is the author of the good works in your life is still working in you.

PRAYER 
Thank you father for your love. Thank you for not leaving me alone, thank you for perfecting the good work you have begun in my life and family in Jesus name, Amen.
