GOD IS ABLE 2


MEMORY VERSE: - Ephesians 3:20 - "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us."

Our text further said, "God is able to do more than we ASK". You have to ask in order for God to have something to work with. It's a pity that some believers do not bother to ask, they believe that God knows what their needs are and so it is left for Him to either do something about it or leave them in their needs.

It's true that God knows your needs but He has given you the right to make your request. We have the case of blind Bartimaeus, a man clearly seen by all that he was blind. Yet, when he got to Jesus, He requested to know what he wanted Him to do for him.

“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” Mark 10:51. Why will Jesus asked him such question seeing clearly that he was blind? Is it not obvious that he needs a miracle of his sight being given to him?

Listen, God wants you and I to exercise our right of making our request known to him. Yes He knows all your needs but He wants you to tell Him what exactly you want him to do for you. He wants you to be focused and be specific in your asking.

I've seen people who in the course of prayer will use words like, 'God you know me, you know what am going through, you know my needs...' and God is waiting for them to say what they want. Obviously, they have not asked for anything. So, they fasted and prayed but it was all purposeless and meaningless prayers because they said nothing. 

Some will be going through some challenges that they need to take charge by the Word of God but they say such words as 'Lord, if it is your Will.....' How can you not know His Will for you in such mess? He wants your good. Beloved, you must know what you want and ask in that direction.
 
The scripture in Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you;...." It is those who ask that receives. Therefore, we must be specific in prayer so that God's power in us can have the substance to work with.

PRAYER
Thanks so much Heavenly Father for a brand new day. I ask that you prosper me in all my ways, and keep me and my family from evil in Jesus name, Amen.
