LIVING BY THE SPIRIT


MEMORY VERSE: - Galatians 5:25 - "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

The formation of humans was beyond the physical, it was far beyond putting clay together: for when the physical clay was formed, it was lifeless, immoveable, nonfunctional and inactive until the father breathed into it the breath of life. 

Wherefore, the scripture says, "Then the Lord God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]." (Genesis 2:7 AMP). With this text, it is clear that through the breath of life the real man was born hence, God is our Father, He is the Father of our spirit.

Hebrews 12:9 made us understand that God is the "Father of spirits" and furthermore, the scripture says, "God is a spirit." (John 4:24). So, if He is our Father, it then means we are like Him in nature on the inside. That is to say, we are spirit beings living in a tent known as the body.

Although in the visible world all we can see is the humanistic aspects of us. But then, again, God does not see as man sees, He looks into the inward part, He sees the real man on the inside. So, we are more than the physical structure that we see. We are spirit beings on the inside loaded with the essentials of God.

Therefore, as God's children, born anew in Christ Jesus, we are not to live in this world like every other person out there, we are to govern our lives through the spirit within us. Truly, it is expected of us to live out our lives through the Holy Spirit guidance.

If we live in the flesh we will die (fail, make many errors) but if we through the help of the Holy Spirit live by the spirit we will live the kingdom life, which is a successful life here in this world. 

Flesh is always relating to the senses and relaying on the senses. But the man of the spirit is always relating to the Holy Spirit and relying on Him.

PRAYER
Holy Father, thank you for Fathering me, and I pray that your Holy Spirit will help me to live out the kingdom life in this world in Jesus name, Amen.
