SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY


MEMORY VERSE: - Luke 10:19- “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you"

Jesus knew He was leaving the world to return back to the father in heaven but He wasn't going to leave his followers unequipped knowing that the world is full of wickedness and evil. So, before His departure He gave them authority and power. 

Wherefore, the scripture in Luke 9:1 says, "When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases." This authority and power was not just to His apostles only, but also to all who will believe through their gospel, which includes you and I.

So, Jesus did not leave behind a powerless Church when He ascended back to heaven, on the contrary, He put divine authority in their hands and gave them power over all things. Every believer has power and authority over everything; be it principalities, powers of darkness in heavenly realms, earth, sea, land, and in their respective environment.

As a result, you must not be afraid to take what's rightly yours. Use your spiritual authority to set up a standard in your life. There are many who are going through difficult times but are dealing with it from the human point of view. 

This is because they have adopted a human way of viewing things. They do not realize the spiritual implication behind what is going on in their lives and they do not see the real enemy who works behind the scenes against them. But the truth is, there is a battle going on in the spiritual realm and the enemy is not human but a spiritual being. 

So, you need to take the battle to the spirit behind the problem, then you will enjoy the victory you desire. It is of outermost importance that you understand your spiritual authority you possess in order to put to flight these forces working against you.

PRAYER
Holy Father, I am grateful for your love, thank you for the authority and power you have bestowed on me. And from today, I begin to take my stand in the spiritual realm and I set up a standard in Jesus name, Amen.
