BE STRONG IN THE LORD


Paul admonishing the Ephesus church said, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might”. Ephesians 6:10. And this word is still very much applicable to us today as we all need to be strengthened in the Lord so as to overcome all that we need to overcome in the race of life.

 

Be strong in the Lord is saying be courageous in the Lord, be strengthened in your inner man, do not allow anything to cast down your spirit. You must Trust in the Lord, depend wholly on Him and He will guide you through life


God has promised to be our refuge and to be there for us till the end of time, therefore we are not to be afraid, no matter the circumstances but are to trust in the power of His grace that is able to carry us through.


We are not strong in our own self but our weak point is anchored on the grace of God. Thus, the unlimited power of grace is the source of our strength, as a result, “We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us” Philippians 4:13. 


 PRAYER

Thank Lord for your grace, I declare that I can do all things through your unlimited power of grace in me in Jesus’ name, Amen

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
