DON’T SETTLE FOR LESS


MEMORY VERSE: - Jeremiah 29:11, “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future”

Oftentimes, many Christians settle for lesser than they are meant to be, because they do not believe that the best is their portion in Christ. You must understand that God wants the best for you more than you can imagine: He says “My plans are to prosper you and not to harm you” This is a surety word. It is guaranteed. The best of the earth is your portion in Christ therefore; you don’t have to settle for the less. 

God cares so much for you that He wants you to not settle where you are: He wants you to go and get all that there is for you in His storehouses because He has great and wonderful things in store for you.

 Another thing that makes people to settle for the less is inferiority complex. Such people continually look down on themselves; they see themselves as lower than others, never good enough, never qualify, thus they bring themselves under slavery instead of mastering. 

The scripture says, “My people are gone into captivity because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst” (Isaiah 5:13). It is important we understand who God has made us to be, whose we are and the things that belongs to us in Christ, otherwise we will live in error and settle for the less. 

When people lost sight of who they are, they become slaves where they ought to be masters, and they go into all manners of errors and some of the errors are so costly that if care is not taken it will cost one his or her destiny. 

Hence, we must be careful not to make the mistakes that will alter our destiny. God has made you unique and the best, do not look down on yourself, don't belittle your personality nor put yourself down, don’t make yourself slave where you ought to be master. Don't settle for the less.


PRAYER

Thank you, heavenly Father, for making me the best and for blessing me with greatness. I hereby declare that I’m not second best but the best. I am God’s special heritage, His choice possession, His royal priesthood, His chosen one and His masterpiece. I am greatly blessed; and loaded with so much treasure, Amen
