LOOK AND LIVE 


MEMORY VERSE: - Psalm 34:5- “They looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed"

From the text above the word "Him" is referring to our "Lord Jesus Christ" So we can say "They looked unto the Lord , and were lightened." Truly! No man ever look unto the Lord for help is ever disappointed.

When we are faced with burdens and challenges, we are to look unto the Lord because only in Him we can find rest and refuge, help and strength to go through it and come out unhurt and strong.

 By looking up to Him, we are handing over our burdens to Him, we are exchanging our burdens with His grace, thus He will take away the heavy weight of the burden from us and give us rest. Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 GNTD.

 So, are you tired, worn out, or burned out on situation? Come to Jesus and you’ll recover your life. You do not have to carry the burden on you anymore, give them all to Jesus, and He will give you a real rest.

In John 3:14-15 Jesus referred Himself to being “lifted up” in the same fashion Moses lifted up the bronze serpent on the pole in the wilderness and anyone who looked lived. All it took in the days of Moses was for them to “Look” in order to live. Today we are also told to look to Jesus for in Him is hidden the key to life, anyone who look up to Him will live. 

Therefore, if you are weighed down with situations, circumstances and challenges. If you are battling with life struggles or health challenge? Whatsoever it maybe that you are going through, just Look up to Jesus and you will be lightened off your burden. All who looked to Him were not disappointed nor put to shame; you also, will not be put to shame if you do.

 PRAYER 

Holy Father I worship you, and from this day I stop looking up to man but look up to you, you are my help and my strength, my eyes are fixed on you alone for help in Jesus’ name, Amen

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
