THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 90:17 - Let the beauty of the Lord our God be seen in us”

Psalm 90 was a prayer of Moses for God’s chosen people, and he made us to understand that there is need for the beauty of the Lord to be visible in the life of His people, “In Us”. Beauty implies glory, radiance, splendor, magnificence, loveliness, or attractiveness. So in this passage, the scripture is saying “let the glory of the Lord be made manifest or be revealed in us."

We are Born Again to be the expressions of the Glory of God in the world. That is to say, God's glory is made manifest in the world through the believer. The revelations of God’s glory in the life of His children are proves of His greatness, worth and magnitude.

The entrance of Christ into our life ushers in the beauty of the Lord our God, thus Isaiah prophesied ahead before His coming that which He was going to do in the life of those who will receive Him into their lives, “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashe.” (Isaiah 61:3a).

Assuredly, He came to make an exchange in our lives, no one receives Him and remains the same, He takes away ashes and in exchange He puts in them the beauty of the Lord. Truly, "He takes away the first that He may establish the second". Hebrews 10:9. It's a pity that many who are in Him are not living in this realm of the beauty of the Lord rather they are given in to ashes due to lack of understanding of the purpose of Christ coming.

Ashes signifies reproach, sorrow, anguish, pains, poverty, and all manner of affliction and issues of life. When a believer is functioning in this realm, he or she is not reflecting the beauty of the Lord. Thus, it's important for us to understand what is rightfully ours in Christ and endeavor to live thereby, then we'll be expressing the glory and goodness of the Lord in the world.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father I thank you for your beauty in me, and I hereby declare, let the grace of God that brings about the beauty of the Lord be at work in me, and let my life radiate the light of the glory in Jesus’ name, Amen
