PURGE OUT THE OLD 2

MEMORY VERSE: - 2 Timothy 2:20 - 21 - “Now in a great house, there are not only golden and silver vessels, but also wooden and earthen; and some indeed unto honor, but some unto dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.”.

The believer is a member of the divine family, they are vessels in God's great House. And as such, everyone should earnestly desire and diligently endeavor to be a vessel of honour, purged, cleansed, sanctified and ready for the Master’s use.

 Now, to be a vessel ready for the master's use, what you allow in and what you do is of uttermost importance. You must purge yourself of bad attitudes, bad habits and unholy lifestyles, because your attitude and lifestyle can either bring honor and praise to the name of the Lord or bring reproach, shame and blasphemy to His name.

Our attitude is what influences all our actions. It is only the right attitude that gets us good results. If you do not have the right attitude, you will not be able to make proper use of every given opportunity that comes your way and you will need also be able to keep them. In Christ everyone is a vessel but each one has to choose the kind of vessel he or she is to be, for the kind of vessel you allow yourself to be, determines how prepared you are for the master's use.

It is important that every vessel know how to carry themselves. Life is all about choice, the choice you make will either make you to continue to be a vessel of honour or bring you down to that of dishonour. Thus we must Choose wisely.

So, for you to become a vessel of honor, you have a work to do in your attitude and ways of life. You must form a new habit of selflessness, and self-control.You must work out your salvation with reverential fear of the Lord. You must be ready to live a sacrificial life, thus making yourself a living sacrifice unto God.


 PRAYER 

Lord Jesus, I surrounder myself to you for total cleansing, purge me that I may be be a holy habitation for your Holy Spirit to dwell, Amen.
